Burgundy New York Steak Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 New York Steaks
- 1 cup flour
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp parsley
- 6 whole mushrooms
- 1 cup burgundy
Directions:
Chop the new york steaks into 1/2 inch cubes and dredge them into the flour. In a large skillet, heat the butter and brown the new york steak on all sides. Add to the skillet the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, mushrooms and burgundy and bring them to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 45 minutes - 1 hour. Serve with white rice.
New York Pepper Steak
Ingredients:
- 2 New York Steaks
- 1/4 tsp chili pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 cup parsley
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat a skillet to medium-high. Spread each new york steak with olive oil, salt and pepper. Sear each side of the New York Steaks for approx 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat to medium heat and continue to fry until desired doneness (approx 10-15 minutes). Meanwhile, mix chili pepper, garlic, parsley, thyme and vinegar in a mixing bowl. Remove the new york pepper steak from the skillet and serve with the chili mixture on top. Serve immediately with fresh vegetables.
