Pan Fried New York Steak in Beer Sauce

Ingredients:
- 2 New York Steaks
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup beer

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Dredge the new york steaks into the flour and season them with salt and pepper.  Place the new york steaks into a skillet with the heated olive oil. Fry the new york steaks until browned and place them into a baking dish.  Add the onions to the drippings in the skillet and fry until translucent.  Add the beer an bring it to a boil.  Pour the beer mixture over the pan fried new york steak and sprinkle them with the parsley and sugar.  Place the pan fried new york steak into the oven for 1-1.5 hours and serve immediately.

Burgundy New York Steak Sauce

Ingredients:
- 2 New York Steaks
- 1 cup flour
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp parsley
- 6 whole mushrooms
- 1 cup burgundy

Directions:
Chop the new york steaks into 1/2 inch cubes and dredge them into the flour.  In a large skillet, heat the butter and brown the new york steak on all sides.  Add to the skillet the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, mushrooms and burgundy and bring them to a boil.  Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 45 minutes - 1 hour.  Serve with white rice.
