Maple Glazed New York Steaks
Ingredients:
- 4 New York Steaks
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp catsup
- 2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
- 1 tbsp peppercorns
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat the grill to medium-high. Place the New York steaks aside on a clean plate. Grind the peppercorns and mix together the peppercorns, maple syrup, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, brown mustard, and fresh lemon juice in a sauce pan. Heat the saucepan with the mixture on medium for 10 minutes. Sear each side of the New York Steak for 1-2 minutes, basting each side of the steaks with the sweet and salty mixture. Reduce the grill heat to medium and grill each side for 7-10 minutes. Continue to bast each new york steak every few minutes. flipping the steaks only once. Serve the New York steaks immediately with steamed asparagus or broccoli.
New York Strip Steak with Onions
Ingredients:
- 2 New York Steaks
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat the grill to high heat. In a medium frying pan, heat the butter and saute the onions until transparent. Add garlic salt and red wine to the onions and reduce to half. Sear all sides of New York Steaks on the grill for 1-2 minutes per side. Reduce the heat to medium-high and allow each side of the new york steaks to cook for 7-10 minutes or until done. Pour the onion mixture over each new york steak and serve immediately with a twice baked potatoes.
