Ingredients:
- 4 NY Steaks
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
- 1 tbsp peppercorns
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat the grill to medium-high. Place the New York steaks aside on a clean plate. Grind the peppercorns and mix together the peppercorns, maple syrup, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, brown mustard, and fresh lemon juice in a sauce pan. Heat the saucepan with the mixture on medium for 10 minutes.
Sear each side of the NY Steak for 1-2 minutes, basting each side of the steaks with the sweet and salty mixture. Reduce the grill heat to medium and grill each side for 7-10 minutes. Continue to baste each NY steak every few minutes. flipping the steaks only once.
Suggestion: Serve the New York steaks immediately with steamed asparagus or broccoli.
